Photos By David Kasnic
Excited to feature the work of our guy David Kasnic. He’s a photographer from Wenatchee, Washington—a small town at the foothills of the Cascades. David’s shot for brands and publications like Adidas, Hoka, Interview Magazine, The New York Times, Notre, and WSJ Magazine, with some of his work even collected by museums.
Here’s what Create The World means to David:
Considering the state of our country now, ‘create the world’ means willingness to be a stranger, where extraordinary things can happen from very ordinary encounters. Though small and often what feels insignificant, when one considers the power of photography or lack thereof, my actions to ‘create the world’ that I’d like to live in involve walking aimlessly with a camera of some kind, hoping to connect with strangers.
The results hopefully are interesting collaborative dances between myself and the people I meet, where the folks I meet bring some sort of performance of themselves to the table and I, for lack of better words, dance with that performance and try to make convincing pictures—evidence of our meeting and briefly shared experience.
